On this page, you'll find the most common questions and helpful answers about templates and campaigns in dealcode.ai:
How many emails should I include in a sequence?
How many emails should I include in a sequence?
That depends on your strategy and your target audience — there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. However, based on our experience, we recommend 3 to 4 emails per sequence.
Why?
Many leads only respond after the third or fourth email, so stopping too early can mean missing out on potential conversions.
✅ Try this:
Start with a 3- or 4-step sequence and test what works best for your audience. You can always adjust for new campaigns.
Why isn’t my link showing correctly in the generated emails?
Why isn’t my link showing correctly in the generated emails?
If you add a link directly into the template, the AI might rephrase or alter it during email generation — leading to display issues.
❗ Important:
To make sure your link appears correctly, always use the “Call to Action” placeholder in your template. This ensures the link is inserted properly and remains clickable.
✅ Try this:
Edit your template and replace the raw link with the CTA placeholder. You’ll define the actual link during campaign setup, so it’s handled safely and consistently.
The AI-generated email text from placeholders doesn’t sound right — what can I do?
The AI-generated email text from placeholders doesn’t sound right — what can I do?
If the placeholder texts (like the Company Pitch) don’t match your expectations, a few adjustments can help:
Check your placeholders:
Avoid using full-sentence placeholders if you're not happy with how the AI fills them. Shorter, more flexible inputs give the AI more room to adapt naturally.
Consider your audience:
Some placeholders pull data from LinkedIn — if your target group doesn’t have well-filled profiles, the results might feel generic or off.
✅ Try this:
Edit your Company Pitch and keep placeholders concise. Test different versions based on your target group, and fine-tune your templates accordingly.
Why isn’t the second subject line used in follow-up emails?
Why isn’t the second subject line used in follow-up emails?
dealcode.ai sends all emails in a sequence within the same email thread — just like a natural conversation. That’s why for the recipient only the subject line from the first email is visible.
What are multiple subject lines for then?
They’re used for A/B/C testing:
Different parts of your lead list will receive the first email with Subject A, B, or C — helping you see what performs best.
✅ Try this:
Focus your subject line variations on the first email in the sequence — that’s the only one your leads will see in their inbox preview.
