Your customers are already in the books. Therefore, you don't want to reach out to them again.

In order to ensure that you don't send mailings to current customers or leads that are close to being won, we advise you to maintain a blacklist.

This can be done in Dealcode at the account level.

How do I get there?

  1. Log into Dealcode

  2. Go to Settings (bottom left)

  3. Go to Blacklist

In Dealcode, it is distinguished between E-mail blacklist and Domain blacklist.

E-mail blacklist: Please upload here business e-mail addresses that you don't want to contact anymore.

Domain blacklist: Please upload here entire domains, such as bmw.com.

πŸ’‘ Please ensure that you also blacklist country-specific domains if you don't want them to be on your target list.

When to use what?

We always advise you to blacklist e-mail addresses, when you want to exclude certain people from an organization.

It might be the case that other departments or subsidiaries are still of interest for your business. Therefore, it is recommended to only blacklist an e-mail address instead of a domain.

πŸ’‘ You don't need to compare the lead list to your blacklist. This is done by Dealcode automatically.

Do I need to blacklist the leads which booked a meeting?

Yes! In order to avoid an additional outreach after the meeting booking, please add the lead's email address as soon as possible to the blacklist.
